AFSCME Local 4041 response to proposed state employee COVID-19 workplace policies updated July 30,2021

AFSCME Local 4041 has received numerous calls from state employees regarding the updated COVID-19 workplace policies proposed by the Governor on July 30, 2021. To discuss this policy in more detail we have requested a meeting with the Labor Relations Unit and representatives from the Governor’s office prior to August 15, 2021, to allow an opportunity to make appropriate changes prior to the implementation date. Local 4041 has identified the following concerns and proposes the following changes.

Senate passes negotiated wage increase

Late Sunday night, the Nevada Senate passed the state employee pay bill that includes a 3% wage increase AFSCME Local 4041 members negotiated into their first contract. The bill now goes to Governor Sisolak for his signature.

AFSCME and the State of Nevada Announce Tentative Agreement for Four State Employee Bargaining Units

CARSON CITY, NV – Today, the State of Nevada and the American Federation of State County Municipal Employees Local 4041 announced that they have reached a tentative collective bargaining agreement that includes both economic and non-economic provisions and covers four of the 11 bargaining units established for state employees.
