During the legislative session, AFSCME members fought and won to reinstate a longevity pay program for any employee with 8 or more years of continuous services as with the state of Nevada. 

On Wednesday, the state announced the first biannual payments will be awarded in December. However, the Lombardo administration communicated that they unlawfully plan to exclude thousands of dedicated state employees from these awards.  

As AFSCME Local 4041, we have always fought for all state workers – and we continue to do so.  

Your union is taking all necessary actions to hold the state accountable to the law, so that all state workers who have met the requirements of continuous service get the recognition and respect they have earned.
